Day-to-Day Functions
- Review and resolve outstanding insurance balances: Identify issues delaying claim payments by analyzing accounts and coordinating with payers, patients, and clients when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
- Analyze denial trends and recommend improvements: Evaluate data to spot patterns affecting first-pass denial rates and suggest actionable solutions to reduce the age of overall Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Understand the full claim life cycle: Function as an Accounts Receivable Specialist with a strong grasp of the entire accounting and claims process, ensuring accurate and efficient workflows.
- Meet productivity and quality standards: Ensure all assigned workflow items are completed within turnaround time and meet the expected quality benchmarks.
- Evaluate EOBs and claim-level denials: Perform detailed analysis of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and denial reasons, identifying trends that affect revenue and recommending process improvements.
- Support additional responsibilities as assigned: Take on other relevant duties as required by the team or leadership, contributing to overall team goals and operations.
- Adhere to company policies and directives: Comply with all employment terms, policies, and procedures, including potential changes in work shifts, team assignments, work location, or flexible work arrangements, as determined by business needs.
